Logic will use this one by default (don't ask me why). And when I want to use a downloaded Library, I just add the "Kontakt 5_ked.component" (I renamed it but it's the one from v5.6.8) to my component folder.
When I want to use a legit Kontakt library, I just use the Kontakt AU that is situated in my component folder (or I exec the legit Kontakt 5.app),.I have Kontakt UNLOCKED v5.6.8 to use the most recent libraries either as a standalone or a AU in Logic,.You just Add Library, and the Lib will be added (and might not show if it's designed for 5.6.8 or later), If you are seeing the 'demo' button in Kontakt and wondering what's the problem, find all the answers here. The App is in its own folder, no need to put it inside the Native Instruments App Folder. I am using Fl Studio 10 (Fruity Edition) and have just downloaded/installed Kontakt 5 Player - The 32-bit VST Plugins for the player are now located in c:Program Files (x86)VstPlugins, the 64-bit VST Plugins are located in c:Program FilesNative InstrumentsVstplugins 64 bit. So I just use the Kontakt 5.app version UNLOCKED v5.6.0. I have Kontakt UNLOCKED v5.6.0 to add new libraries (even the last ones, they won't just show up in 5.6.0 when you add them but they will in a later version, see next.).My Legit Kontakt is installed normally,.I am on Sierra (10.12), not 10.13 and I have a legit Komplete 11 ULT.
